Planning

Like most things in life, the more you put into your Crowdfunder project the more you will get out of it. Preparation is key and making a plan is very important. Do your research. Build a team and identify your Crowd. Be prepared to work hard to make it happen and learn from your mistakes. If something isn’t working, figure out why. That’s all part of the story.

Creating

Telling your story is a vital part of your project,
so creating your Crowdfunder page will demand your attention. It's your connection to your supporters and the platform to explain exactly what your idea is and how you see it working.
You need to engage, excite and inform people to get them right behind you. But you don't need to be a great writer, photographer or filmmaker – you just need to be you, and that's why people will pledge.

Running

You've got your great idea, a clear plan and an exciting Crowdfunder page – now you need to shout about it all. There are so many ways to connect with your supporters and create a buzz. Nothing beats talking directly to people but email and social media are also very effective ways of spreading the word about your idea. Building momentum is critical, so start with the people you know best before encouraging the people you don't know to support you.
