The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society and Crowdfunder have teamed up to launch a new campaign which aims to support
the myriad of artists, venues and creatives who make the Fringe happen every year, by providing them with a space to raise vital funds.

From its earliest beginnings in 1947, the Fringe has provided a totally uncensored platform for artists from all backgrounds, cultures and perspectives to tell their story and shape their own worlds. This summer, for the first time in 73 years, the Fringe will not be going ahead as planned. The coronavirus outbreak has presented us all with world-changing challenges, and we know that artists and creatives will be greatly impacted by this. As we try to adapt in the face of an all-encompassing global emergency, the spirit of shared storytelling and open dialogue that the Fringe was built on feels more important than ever.

The Fringe wouldn’t exist without the creative souls who bring their extraordinary work to Edinburgh every year. It’s their dedication, commitment and sheer hard work which enables it to come to life each year. They embody this great festival and we want it to continue for generations to come.

Coming soon.

Since the announcement that the Fringe as we know it isn’t going ahead, we’ve been squirrelling away, pulling together alternative Fringe options. To that end, we’ll soon be selling tickets to a very exciting… *thing*. That’s as specific as we’d like to be at this stage, but keep a close eye on this page over the coming weeks for more information.
